Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program

Our non-acute adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is designed for students in grades 6 through 12 whose needs cannot be met in a traditional classroom setting or by a lower level of care such as outpatient counseling or family-based services. This weekday program offers a blend of therapeutic and educational services provided in a group setting and includes a multi-disciplinary team approach to treatment. Our team includes certified regular and special education teachers, licensed therapists, board-certified psychiatrists, and mental health professionals.

Services are designed to promote:

  • Improvement of overall mental wellness
  • Greater self-confidence
  • Increased self-esteem
  • Healthier relationships
  • Effective communication skills
  • Problem-solving and coping skills
  • Stabilization of significant mental health symptoms and behaviors
  • Educational skills needed to return to home school district
  • Successful return to a lower level of care

EDUCATION STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The faculty and staff of the TIU11 Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program will provide a safe, nurturing, and academically challenging education program for each of its students. Education will be virtually based and personalized to meet the learning needs of all. Pre and post testing will be conducted to gather data to make informed decisions about the best practices for each student. Academic advisors will facilitate and support students daily in the classrooms. Working as a team, it is our goal to see our students make successful transitions back into their home school classrooms with ease and academic confidence.
