TIU Science Summer Camp
July 6th - July 9th

TIU 11 is pleased to announce our first Science Summer Camp for children ages 8-13. Science Camp will be held 9:00 am – 3:00 pm Tuesday, July 6th – Friday, July 9th, 2021. On Friday, camp will end at 2:00 pm. Our first three days of camp will be held at TIU 11’s Spark Lab. The final day includes outside field experience at Riverside Park in Mount Union. Broad topics this summer include: Pollinators Need Our Help!, Space Exploration and Things That Move. While we can predict that our campers will design and create models from recyclables, create their own website, create a simple computer game or plan missions, we want our campers to have the voice, choice and space to design and create a project of their own. Each camper will receive a micro:bit to add a computer program to enhance their project.
- Cost for camp is $155 per camper and includes all supplies, small electronic components and a micro:bit.
- Transportation to and from TIU 11 and Riverside Park is the responsibility of families.
- Maximum campers – 24 and minimum campers – 10
- TIU 11 Science Camp will be implementing the CDC Guidance for Operating Youth Camps.
Up to twenty-four campers will be selected and others placed on a waiting list. You will be notified no later than Wednesday, June 30th if your child(ren) have been selected to attend Science Camp.
