Anticipated Vacancy: Executive Director
Appointment on/about July 1, 2026.
The Tuscarora Intermediate Unit (TIU) is a regional service agency supporting nine school districts across Fulton, Huntingdon, Mifflin, and Juniata Counties. The TIU provides services to students, staff, and adults throughout its service area, as well as statewide through a variety of initiatives.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will be a strong, collaborative leader who demonstrates excellent listening skills, clear and effective communication, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with staff, board members, school districts, and statewide partners.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be innovative and creative in addressing both current and future financial operations of the TIU.
- Recognize opportunities to develop new services, mutually beneficial partnerships, and alternative revenue sources.
- Demonstrate the ability to address challenging issues facing the organization and those served by the TIU.
Compensation
The salary range is regionally competitive and will be based on the candidate’s expertise and demonstrated ability.
