Tuscarora Intermediate Unit is a regional educational service agency meeting the needs of the public and nonpublic schools, personnel and students in Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata and Mifflin Counties. As a service agency, the Intermediate Unit has no direct line authority over local schools. Our current Executive Director is Dr. Shawn Kovac, and the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit 11 is governed by the TIU Board, made of representatives from each of our nine school districts.

We offer professional development opportunities year around.
We offer various STEM workshops and classes for teachers and students. All held in our new Makerspace
Special Education services are made available throughout the TIU area to member school districts, non-public schools, and to young children (pre-schoolage).
Tuscarora Intermediate Unit is proud memeber of the Capital Area Online Learning Association (CAOLA) – PA’s largest online learning consortium.
